The University of New England, a private, coeducational university with campuses in Biddeford and Portland, Maine, as well as Tangier, Morocco, is the largest private university in Maine. Well known for its science and health-based programs, it is also the largest educator of healthcare professionals in Maine. The school is organized into six colleges offering more than 70 undergrad, graduate, and professional degrees.
